  2. Thanks for the thorough comparison of electric cars. My granddaughter was bugging us for one on her birthday (she’ll be 7 but thinks she’s much older). I love the Uenjoy Electric Kids Ride On Car 6V especially since it has the 4-5 hours of running time. That was always the problem with our other ones – took forever to charge and then died quickly. These newer models look sleeker and more expensive than ever before.

    • You’re welcome.

And yes, you’re correct, the Uenjoy car has a longer running time and charges pretty quickly compared to older model electric cars.

The price for it is less than all the others on this list, so it’s actually a great value.

  3. This is a great review of electric cars for children!  These have come a long way since they first hit the market and I love that there are so many really cool models to choose from.  The kids can even have a car that matches their Mom and Dad’s car! I, personally, like the Jeep best but the Bahom is pretty cool as well…it looks like the Batmobile.

  7. This is such a brilliant idea. My daughter just turned 9 and we can see that she is bored with silly little games , dolls multicolored books and on her last birthday we had such a hard time finding a gift that would excite her. She is always interested in cars and we now know what we will be giving her next birthday. I can see her on that bike or the beautiful car driving around our complex. Thank you for the idea.

  8. Thank you for the post on the electric cars for children, Jason. It was good to read your entire post with the in-depth review of all the electric cars with their pros and cons.

I was looking for a good birthday present for my 8 year nephew. I hope these cars can be safely handled by a 8 year too. He is quite a brilliant kid and rides on two wheelers with complete control.

I feel the Rollplay 12V Power sport ATV Quad will be an ideal gift to him, as he like those ” Need for Speed ” video games kind of cars. He also collects lots of those racing cars pictures. And since it it easier to assemble, no tiling or slipping and a slower speed for his age, it will be a safer car, but with the shape that will thrill the kids.

I will keep it in mind for my daughter’s birthday in January.

  10. Hey,

When I was a 10-year-old I often went to my uncle who was a garage owner. After that, I was allowed to play with all the discarded cars. How wonderful that was! There was only one thing I didn’t understand at the time: why was that steering wheel so stiff, how could people turn with it. (I didn’t know much then…)

Even now I think back to that and then the typical garage smells (which I like to smell) come to me.

I can well imagine that many children would like to have such an electric cart for themselves.

Your roundup of the 7 best electric cars for 10-year-olds is really thoroughly discussed (even with pros and cons). This clearly shows your objectivity and that’s how it should be! There are real gems among them!

    Very nice work!

    With best regards,
